Suggest New Key Issues

Many issues surrounding quality of life and family well-being can only be addressed by states. Because of this, the Department of Defense started the USA4 Military Families initiative through the DoD State Liaison Office to engage state policymakers, not-for-profit associations, concerned business interests and other state leaders about the needs of military members and their families. By developing state and military partnerships, the DoD seeks to work with states to remove unnecessary barriers and significantly improve the quality of life for military families.

The DSLO has 10 liaisons across the country working with the many state leaders who are concerned for the welfare of the active duty, National Guard and reserve service members and their families living within their borders. The DSLO broadly educates state leaders on 10 issues and builds relationships with interested state leaders.

Detailed information on the issues DSLO is currently focusing on, including the status for each state and identified best practices, is available on the USA4 Military Families website. In preparation for the next fiscal year, the DSLO is asking for feedback to identify any additional issues that the DoD can help influence in the states. We urge you to submit your opinions regarding top issues for military families.

Thank you for sharing your USA4 Military Families key issue suggestion. All feedback is both valued and appreciated as we continue to identify and address the unique needs of service members and their families. While not every individual is contacted to discuss their feedback, every suggestion is stored for consideration as new key issues are developed.
